I am running build 5270 and find that I cannot get some websites to come up. Anytime I go to Google it will timeout. The first thought that came to me was, well this is a MS product and they don't want me to use Google, so I tried MSN and it did the same thing. Yahoo! works like a champ until I go to Yahoo! Music.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Thanks,
Chris

Problem connecting to some intranet sites
I suspect this is an issue with protected mode in IE 7, after a while it starts working and loads the desired sites. I hope I see some improvements in the next CTP to better recognize and load sites faster. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "chris poor" wrote in message

I haven't seen this, here are several things that come to mind to check
does yahoo actually work, can you search? or is yahoo just cached from a time when it did work?
1.) name resolution problem can you do an nslookup to the DNS server for the site you are trying to hit? example nslookup google.com
2.)are you behind a web proxy server? if so are you using the proxy client?
3.) do you have a proxy server set in the browser? or are you using automatic discover?
